MAX-PLANCK-INSTITUT F†R GRAVITATIONSPHYSIK
(ALBERT-EINSTEIN-INSTITUT), Teilinstitut Hannover

Callinstrasse 38, 30167 Hannover

The Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) in Hannover is looking for

COMPUTER/LINUX JUNKIES (student assistants)

to help building and running a new large scientific computing cluster for data analysis. The new assistants should start working at the earliest possible time.

The students will also have a chance to support our work with Einstein@Home, one of the world's largest scientific projects for distributed computing.

We are particularly interested in first- or second-year students who have

Working languages are English and German.

The job is a part-time position with up to 83 hours/month maximum. The payment is in accordance with the current rules of the Max Planck Society for graduate assistants without university degree.

The Max Planck Society wants to raise the proportion of women in areas where their share is low. Women are therefore especially encouraged to apply. The Max Planck Society also wishes to employ more severely challenged persons, whose applications are therefore explicitly wanted.
