I think that may be the best thing ever said about Annie (that I'm aware of).

Apropos of nothing: I have always hated being hot and always will, but I find that the older I get, the more I also hate being cold.

Depending on your initial baseline that's normal as you get older, just routine intolerance and hatred of the rest of the world and all the creatures within that sets in. Then you go into politics ....

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) ... no wait. Sorry. That's sinusitis. Silly me, I always get pyschotic murderous rage and sinuses mixed up !

( edit ) The inside of Anniet's brain is cool ! It's like a wunderland in here, so much to do and see with random crap just firing on in. No sign of editing or structure. It is definitely the full quantum in here. A joy to behold. I may christen it The Inner Heisenberg Theme Park. Formal logic is so boring, now that I come to think about it. So this is what it is like to be a total right-brainer ? Awesome ! :-) :-)

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Yeah, I saw it. I couldn't believe it, but I saw it.

The experience of reading that, combined with the rest of the post, made me so disoriented that I think I may have trodden in something.

Oh, look, it wasn't sheep leavings; it was the remains of Erwin Schrödinger's cat.

I'm not entirely convinced of that .... )

Good morning everybody!!! It

Good morning everybody!!! It is 28F here this morning which is near our projected high for the day! One would think all the politicians have left town, or are off playing golf somewhere, but it seems they have just said all they want to say for right now. By the weekend I should be back up into the mid 50'sF again so I guess there are LOTS of speeches and press conferences scheduled. I think it's time to go back to watching all my dvr'd shows from my 2 week vacation to the Panama Canal I recently took. My pc's are trying their best to warm things up, it is 83F in my basement this morning, so you can't blame ME for the cold air!!

Thanks for the "elephant"

Thanks for the "elephant" pic. After seeing it I had to seek medical help for severe cramping.

Ventilation and air-flow are maximised, yes :) Occasionally a harmattan whisks through... requiring a monsoon to cool things down again... but I find re-orientating my head elsewhere helps guard against that :)

Well indeed :) If you're looking for random crap - please... go no further... you've found it! :) Dull thuds... followed by sudden high velocity splatterings against the inside surface of a skull is what I've come to know as my inner rhythm... a calibration source if you like :) Or something to dance to :)

There is the risk of terminal shock blasting away all but the most basic of functioning skills of course :/ a bit like... let me see now... forgetting how to play everything except the triangle, whilst someone else is having a fit with a tambourine. Or coming across a sudden thought like... "that's weird... there's a leg... dangling inside a train. I wonder how it got there?" then idly wondering where you've seen jeans like that on a leg before and why you appear to only have one beneath you when the last time you checked you were following the general convention of keeping two on the platform. It's how you put ALL the bits together :) which is key to not meeting your demise today even though others have done so before you... at varying intervals of course... and in much less decorative ways than as human brooms.

:))))))))) Now imagine living with that amount of racket going on all the time...

I'd try meditation if I didn't suspect there'd be some form of vertical lift off leaving my head embedded in my upstairs neighbour's front room floor – or something less controlled... like an untied fully inflated balloon being released.... As for landing on a comet... not yet I haven't Bill no... but I could give it a try... :)

Panama canal sounds nice Mikey :) Near perfect latitude I think :)

Hi robl :) You're welcome :))))))

Speaking of medical assistance I wonder if Phil is alright? *concerned frown* Last time I saw him he was somewhat disorientated after falling down the Bistro steps... thinking about it now *pause to think about it now* I probably shouldn't have laughed quite so long and loud...

I did consider asking him if I should call him an ambulance, but then I knew if he said yes I would have and then I'd have fallen about laughing again...

Perhaps I should call one anyway... could be useful in case robl has a relapse...

Oh, look, it wasn't sheep leavings; it was the remains of Erwin Schrödinger's cat.

In my bloodstained experience you can't put a cat in a box unless it wants to be in a box *glare briefly at cat* *get ignored* Once it's in the box all bets are off on proving anything other than there is a cat in a box... and perhaps the chaos theory.

Do hope everyone is having a lovely time of whatever part of the day/night they're on :) Just have to pop out for a bit - then fling food at the family. See you later :)

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Since I am finally back to work, after my doctor induced medical sojourn, I will tend to disappear for hours, sometimes days, at a time. Railroading is not conducive to any kind of regular schedule, so please use my time away to make fun of me behind my back. For ideas, please see Tbret, he'll give you some ammunition to lob my way.

I think Phil mentioned having

I think Phil mentioned having to work for a living now. He may not be around as much to focus on virtual people like us. I reckon he's probably trying to apply the brakes on a real train or worldly stuff like that. He'd been faking some medical complaint or seeing fake doctors or something like that. Eventually they snapped the leash onto his collar and bam ! Back into it for the taxman ...

Now I think Anniet could teach medical students. Seriously she has hit on the two basic messages I put across to them :

- first do no harm ( eg. stay on the railway platforms )

- always check your assumptions ( eg. how many legs do I have today ? )

As for a "harmattan" I had to look that up. So that was good for the soul. Initially I read it as "hardhattan" and thus was full of visions of a blizzard of hard hats swirling & battering their way through. Sort of like shot-blasting to clean the surface of rusty metal. But I digress ....

[ .... serious professional face ]
Flinging food at the family.
You do know that feeding them makes them come back for more later, right? If that makes them get bigger - feeding is the commonest cause of growth - then the amount per serve goes up. So next time there is more flinging to be done. You are making a rod for your own back.
[ .... calm, pretending to be interested face. No wait, that's just the professional one but later in the day ]

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) Uh, hi Phil ...

Crazy these leapfrog posts huh ? I was just saying to the others how happy we are that you have recovered from your genuine affliction and how we will miss the frequency of your helpful inputs around here. Happy train [strike]breaking[/strike] braking ! :-)
