Thought they had it back in the 30's at the drug store soda counter.

Ok guys eat your heart out

Ok guys eat your heart out time - I saw the Kinks live at Wimbledon Palais in the early 60's, probably 64/65. Those were in the days when it was still a proper dance hall with a stage.

We also saw the Who there, Bo Diddley & the Duchess, and the Applejacks. Then we had tag Wrestling with Jackie Pallo and Mick McManus & Bert Royal.

Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)

The soda jerk could add it for you way back when. The pre-flavored version of Cherry Coke came out in 1985 (to much derision that it wasn't as good as having the soda jerk add it).

Some convenience stores with self-serve soda fountains now offer flavor squirts. In a 44oz. Caffeine-Free Diet Coke, I add 2 squirts of vanilla and 2 of raspberry.

As for the fries, if you posted that picture to your own site somewhere, you can make it smaller and repost it with the same URL, and it will appear smaller here forevermore, just like it always was smaller.

I was going to say something

I was going to say something now but it will now have to be a later now than now because I've just remembered something I forgot to remember when it would have actually been useful to remember it.

which is annoying...

*BEAM*

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

I know you that think you

I know you that think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meantâ€

Yes, but even though they probably certainly know that you probably wouldn’t, they don’t certainly know that, although you probably wouldn’t, there is no probability that you certainly would!

which is annoying...

Don't you just hate it when that happens

Yes, well, when you finish forgetting to forget things and then remember them again, do you think you could comment on my half-hearted guess of Sir My-Middle-Name Raleigh?

Whenever you have time. I'm in no hurry.

(Actually, there's some chance that if I won, I wouldn't get around to starting a new thread for a day or two anyway. My aunt is in the hospital (which took up my entire after-work time on Monday and ate into my sleeping time) and they are booting her out tomorrow, so I may be busy with that. But probably not until after-work time again.)

Another quality artist from a generation past, just for the benefit of Annie :

... who has had a thing going for some decades with Bryan ( who has not known of this ) but hey : isn't that what Distant [strike]LUST[/strike] Adoration is all about, huh ? :-)

I saw BF & Roxy Music live in the late 70's and boy were they great. I liked the guy - for his music - but my mates didn't. He had a pulling power then unrivaled and no guy likes to see a BF poster on his girlfriend's bedroom wall. That has a style-cramping impact akin to finding a horse's head on the pillow. :-)

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

He would have made a good Bond at the time!

Nice to see the competition, even though I can't match it :-(
