RE: Have you considered

Quote:
Have you considered offering them to Spain? :-)

What a good idea! I will write to someone there and ask them :)

Their royals enjoy hunting too.

Ye-e-e-e-s... I think I would look down on them more kindly than I do if they hunted because they were hungry. But I don't think they know what that is. Nor do they know what sport is. Odd. I'm not sure those schools they send them to can be that good.

What else is odd is that I thought I read somewhere that those awestralian round things weren't in use anymore. Except I can't find it. I was going to comment on their use as missiles rather than what I thought were incentives to stop damaging international relations with diversions, but now I don't know where to, so I won't :) I would like to apologise if I appear to have turned my nose a little too up at [open disputed attributive adjective] your [/disputed attributive adjective] rockhome though Mr Ffing :) Five or six generations clinging to it is quite something and leaves me thinking it must be quite delightful!

Now if you don't mind me to turning to other correspondence...? :)

Certainly not what Lady muck Sturgeon thinks I can assure you!

Oh good. I was worried we might be repressing freedoms and whatnot. I like her. Lady Muck I mean. I sense you don't though :))) So would you say Madrid is right to deny the Catalans a referendum? I tend to think not when I think about it, not that it's any of my business of course :)

Quote:
She has threatened to hold further referendums until they DO get independence. What of course they don't realise is that they would then get kicked out of the EU, and be made to re-apply in their own right.

How does that wash? I doubt they don't realise there might be hiccups, but aren't they at risk of getting dragged out by us anyway? Hardly seems fair if they want to be part of it, surely.

Quote:
That would not get passed because of them opposing nuclear weapons, they couldn't be part of NATO.

Ohhhhh. That means I'm not part of NATO either :) YAY! *perform happy dance whilst keeping an eye out for flat round missiles* Have they objections to being one of the loads of EU countries that are not either, but are part of the "Partners for Peace" program then? Like Ireland?

*fail to repress nose from incursioning*

Quote:

I note you favoured chosen one, not justice

Might that be telling? ;-)

I couldn't work that out for ages :))) until I simplified my thought processes down to avatars, which I suppose I should have done right from the start.

Intriguing! :)

edit: I forgot an s up there which is why I put it up there now

- please don't be in awe of anyfing Stralian. We aren't and we live 'ere. :-)

- they are still legal tender-ish but (i) on receieept of said coins a bank will credit or convert etc and then take 'em away for melting down to proper useful stuff (ii) no one is required to accept them for private matters ( but may ) and (iii) the retail/cash arrangement is any total ( at the checkout as it were ) is rounded up/down to the nearest five cents leaving only therefore (iv) silly plonkers who want to argue for two cents or more of their time about a matter worth two cents or less.

- in the game of Two Up, which is like noughts and crosses only with more drunk people watching, two goldies are used ie. $1 or $2 coins. If they are not goldies then you have walked into a low class betting establishment for sure.

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

I deplore the Royal family's

I deplore the Royal family's passion for hunting & shooting, always have done. But sadly Henry the VIII (I am I am ...) had hunting estates all over the country, and many very near me as well. I get really cross about the beaters and Grouse on the 12th August. Nothing glorious about it at all, I'd have it banned all year if it was me.

She was single handedly part of the reason that the British public panicked and all voted Tory at the last election to keep Labour out. Evidence to date shows that the public actually wanted the coalition to continue. That damn woman is a much a threat to the British way of life as Hitler ever was.

They never ever can be in their own right with their opposition to nuclear weapons. We carry their burden upon our shoulders.

It isn't as simple as that is it?

Quote:
The Basque and Catalan cultures promulgate identities that threaten the unity of the Spanish nation. Both cultures have their own native languages and histories, dating back to long before the birth of modern Spain; both are prosperous industrial and commercial peoples that boast vibrant metropolises

Belgium manages quite happily with the Walloons and the Flanders area.

As a word jumble, this thread is over. I'm changing the title to more accurately reflect what's going on now. I'll leave it to Dr. Moderator to decide if it has gotten out of hand.

Thank you David. Provided

Thank you David.

Provided it stays within sensible limits, I think it is a worthwhile experiment. I hope that others agree.

Oh dear :) As one of the

Oh dear :) As one of the culprits, I'm not sure this is a good idea after all :/ I'm sure I remember reading something in one of the einstein threads last year that politics has proved a little divisive in the past and is therefore not exactly welcome.

Why? Because to this:

Quote:
I deplore the Royal family's passion for hunting & shooting

I would say: Then why not consider withdrawing from championing them... until they change their ways? :)

But you won't :) so there is little point saying it all.

And then I would thank you for the address :) I presume posted in jest? as mine that instigated it was?

But the Hitler claim? Really? I know you're not referring to the fact that he was an artist and an animal lover or even a rather good orator. Perhaps you're saying Lady Muck is a passionately patriotic type, like Hitler was... and like yourself...? :) But if you're referring to what I think you're referring to, I would have to disagree... and I don't really think here is the best place to do that :/

Do you know what I think, Chriiis? :) I think you're missing seti politics :)
