I came up with these, David

Oinomania
Oniomania

I haven't checked to see how they stack up against all of your clues yet, but after establishing from an online dictionary that you did mean bottoms and not b**bs (which came a little after I stumbled into a very adult site that didn't make it very clear at all *propel HUGE eyes round thread*) I decided you were not referring to the M and might be thinking more in terms of the i and the a being at the end... which combined with the O's got me wondering what I wondered up there.

Had I been referring to b**bs and not wanted to use the actual word, the euphemism would probably have been some sort of fruit. Except I wouldn't be likely to do that (at least in this venue).

edit: well... oniomania fits your other clues better - so I looked it up to find it's an overwhelming urge to buy things, appranetly...

I left my notepad in my bag of stuff I carry to and from work for no good reason and I can't get it to make sure because when I get up from this chair, it will be to go to the euphemism and then to the other chair that is my bed. But yes, I'm pretty sure that is the word I had in mind.

Go ahead and post a new word. I'll be away from the computer for just about all of tomorrow, so maybe someone else will get it for once.

Were you waiting for me to come back before posting a new word? I thought I made it clear you didn't need to. Oniomania is indeed the word I was looking for.

bkloorsy bylorsok -

bkloorsy

bylorsok - footwear of Data's brother, who turned out to have played both ways
blyrooks - Agent Kensi's last remaining chess pieces
blysokor - comforting Kensi after she loses her rooks
skylobor - a flying tennis player
skoorbly - what Deeks has been doing lately

(If you're not familiar, Kensi Blye and Deeks are characters on NCIS: Los Angeles who recently started kanoodling. Yes, I misspelled a lot of words to make them funny.)

Or of course the one that is a friend of a PM and a newspaper magnate.

Oh what lovely words!!! :) I

Oh what lovely words!!! :) I like them a lot! Thank you so much for proffering them :) They're not the one I'm after though so the ten points I was going to give to each of them I'm not.

*cool stare around crushed thread*

Deal with it in your own time please. Things keep falling out of the remembering-to-do bit of my brain then popping in again when I'm busy doing something else - which is what I'm doing now except I'm not because I'm doing this while I remember.

1
a different 1
a same one
the same same one
the same same same one
a completely different one positionally, but the same as the others that were the same

So. A total of three correct overall.

2 correct. A vowel and a consonant.

Clue Augmentation:
The only word with no correctly placed letters was my original jumble, if that helps.

Twice, the first letter was almost correctly placed. That doesn't include the original jumble.

The last letter has been correctly identified once and the one beside it four times. The other one like the latter I just spoke about has also been correctly placed, but just the once in one of the ones where I chatted about the first letter :)

And the B was correctly placed too once.

I hope that has helped you? :)

Oh and that merry Christmas stuff? I'm doing all that on either Tuesday or Wednesday if that's okay? :)

edit: not sure if this helps?

b k l o o r s y (original jumble)
b y l o r s o k
b l y r o o k s
b l y s o k o r
s k y l o b o r
s k o o r b l y
s l y b r o o k

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

I am a tad bit confused. I gave five words and you gave back six answers. Ordinarily, I would appreciate your generosity, but in this case it's not quite as helpful as it could be.

The augmentation was definitely more helpful. The edit is useful too, unless one is trying to read it through bleary eyes at midnight.

So anyway, what I think I got out of all of it is

K--B--OS

Although I haven't gone over it again for additional clarity since my eyes were bleary last night.

Pretty good compromise all round Annie, well done. Happy New Year to you and the family, you all deserve to have a good one.

Under those circumstances, you are certainly forgiven for making me wait, tear out my hair, gnash my teeth, gouge my eyes, etc.

My eyes are once again bleary, so I will not even attempt at the moment to further examine this word. In the morning, perhaps.
