I like the E@H site the way

I like the E@H site the way it is. It would be very disappointing to see it change.

Lets keep the focus on Gravitational Waves and Pulsars, etc. There are plenty of "other" opportunities to immerse yourself in the misery of others. Just not here.

The odd foray here into

The odd foray here into politics has been curtailed and that is fine with me. I am also happy how Einstein is.

Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)

Why do doctors have to practice?

Obviously, we need something

Obviously, we need something cheerful to talk about in this thread. So, how about you all tell me what you're getting me for my birthday!

Oh. Okay... well if you want me to spoil the surprise...

I always try to keep a box in my handbag, just in case... obviously yours will be a new one so it won't look quite so... bashed about and stuff like my current set.

:)

edit for late thought: will you need a handbag too, David? Just wondering because it might be a bit like when people buy you flowers so that you can watch them die over a period of time but you don't have a vase so end up sticking them in a measuring jug...

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Yes, well, thank you, and not to be ungrateful, but I don't exactly need it*. Nice thought, though.

I am already well-equipped in that area as well.

No. You don't :) Most observant of you :) Oh well, there's a Frank Zappa one I think, so perhaps Chris will like it instead.

How about these?

I suspect MAGIC might want some for his birthday too :)

They're for that game where you walk around all day, with a selection of long sticks, whacking a small ball into a hole with a flag sticking out of it... then digging it out and starting all over again. The advantage these have over the white ones, is that after three whacks you can go straight to the clubhouse. You can even colourmatch them to your environment too ... like if you're playing in near desert conditions... *attempt winning smile* ... would you be playing in near desert conditions? :)

Ah. That game. Only ever played the miniature version, and the last time was over half my life ago.

What's really scary is that as I'm getting older and see a need for low-impact exercise, I've actually had thoughts of taking it up. Said thoughts were quickly quelled, however.
