That Ad is, like, approaching a critical mass for double entendres. It's probably a new form of matter called : Dubentendrium .... an isotope of this :-)

And apparently you can also feed it to babies as well.

Cheers, Mike.

This one is horrible

This one is horrible :

"Avoid that future shadow ..." but not the one on the chest x/ray evidently ?

"20,679 physicians say that Luckies are less irritating to your throat". Compared to aqua regia ? Fresh air ? A random fart in a spacesuit ? And what about the other physicians who disagreed - were they asked and how many of them were there ? Sadly it was recommended by doctors back then ....

So of course the guy on the left is the one turning blue from emphysema then ?

LUCKY STRIKE : "you're toasted !!"

Cheers, Mike.

It seems that doctors have

It seems that doctors have something to answer for ...

And dentists ....

And opticians ...

And Presidents ...

But what would you expect from the Un-united, what a state it is in, America???

Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)

Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now

It is horrible. Right up there with E-cigs. E-cigs equate with E-cancer. Assuming that they don't detonate in your face.

More Doctors are Dummerer

More Doctors are Dummerer than Camels .... Camels are 40+ mg and unfiltered. The only guy I ever saw with emphysema under the age of 50 years old ( neither congenital nor related to industrial causes ) was a 28 y.o. who smoked 2 packs of Camels per day. He didn't make 35, but I can't remember precisely which tobacco toxicity effect got him first though. Imagine sending all your friends a bottle of 'fresh arsenic' for Xmas. For myself ( with my permanent indwelling cynicism module ) I look to our current day to see what other topics have more or less the same logical structure ..... and constructed for the same old reasons of power, preferment, pride and profit ..... :-)

As for e-cigs, well, why only just change the drug dealer ? Ditto for patches, chewing gum etc ..... better to think & act long term.

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) Enough polemic. Spent Xmas day in the brother in law's pool largely ( those living in northern climes might find this a curious description of Xmas day ). With five dogs all going for the same tennis ball. I was on the inflatable flotation device temporarily functioning as a dog carrier. The poodle was oh so precious about getting wet. No issue with alcohol as I was irresponsible before I went in ie. ethanol did not alter the risk. Had a taste of some Butterscotch Schnapps. Now there's a drink which ought be licensed rather more than it is ....

I spent New Year's Eve two or three years ago in an outdoor pool (clothing optional). But it was in New Orleans. Unusually cold for NOLA, though, only a handful of degrees F warmer that night than it was during the day here today, mid 30s. (I hope that wasn't the reason I had a minor kidney stone the next morning.)
