Yes, even our Prime Dufus has indicated the precondition of Lizzie departing, and quite naturally if we don't declare a republic with The Ascension of Chucky, then when would we ever ? :-)
This will have no effect on our mutual behaviours and only disturb those who give a crap about such constitutional rhubarb anyway. We cut off the Privy Council appeal route back in Whitlam's day. Since the Great Debacle of 1975, which ultimately harmed all interests, both sides have worked hard to keep the Governor General where he/she should be : photo ops on change of government, tape cutting when we build something interesting, and congratulating school children.

Well, general expectations are that Chucky will do maybe 3-4 years max. To be fair, he has spent all of his life waiting for his turn, I reckon he has earned it. But he will know that with Consort Camilla he won't be popular, so he will hand over to Wills and Kate who are the worlds darlings.
So don't go too mad too soon :-))
