With all due deference to

With all due deference to Richard :-)

Designed by the architect James Pigott Pritchett and built by the firm of Joseph Kaye in 1846–50 using the neo-classical style, the station is well known in architectural circles for its classical-style facade, with a portico of the Corinthian order, consisting of six columns in width and two in depth, which dominates St George's Square. It faces out towards Lion Buildings.

It is a grade I listed building. The station frontage was described by John Betjeman as the most splendid in England and by Sir Nikolaus Pevsner as 'one of the best early railway stations in England'. Two pubs are within the station frontage, to each side of the main entrance: The Head Of Steam and The King's Head (previously known as The Station Tavern).

Probably only for PR work, most of his duties are probably carried out at night.

Oh. Like a Koala bellowing at midnite I have aroused the bushland from slumber ? A wave emitted from before The DreamTime has triggered the primal yearn to ................................................................................................................... calculate. :-)

Full specs to follow later, the base idea/plan is :

- this discovery is a great excuse ( on the Chum Creek domestic side of things ) to crack some new hardware. The urge/lust for power was hovering anyway so .... I'll cut a rug down at my favorite IT store soon. I feel morally obliged to lead the way here for my fellow Einsteinians. Ahem. Please don't tell my Significant Other.

- it will be Linux. { & if you can't guess why it isn't M$ then I canna help you and don't bother asking ! :-) }

- plenty of memory, low latency etc.

- my usual closed circuit liquid cooling with overclock via Corsair

- Corsair modular PSU with a good sweet spot.

- the best of the bestest mobo for a CPU and GPU combo that I have yet to choose ...

... so any suggestions for the main crunching innards then folks ? Please, let not my money be a barrier to your imaginations ! :-)

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) Well it will be a multicore CPU plus GPUs ( plural ) ....

Mike,
I'd get a 10 Core Intel Broadwell-E CPU :)
(except they won't be available till June-July :(

I'm running an i7 5820K Haswell-E CPU (socket 2011-3) which is
(supposedly) drop in compatible with the upcoming Broadwell-E
(with a Bios update )

Bill

-edit- With your Blaise Pascal signature
you are definitely going to need the upcoming Nvidia (Pascal)
GPU's .... not sure when they will be available.
