I spent a year in South Korea teaching English as a Second Language. Now I'm back in Ohio.

Believe it or not, Korea was more peaceful than my family :)

That sounds like my family, are you sure that we are not related?
Oh forgot you are my adopted daughter?

Hi Dad.

Strange doesn't even begin to describe my family. Sometimes friends and adopted family can be a better source of love and support than the people we were born with.

Kathryn, I thought we were welcoming you back to the forum, which I thought was strange because I didn't know you'd been gone :-) But I've never heard of anyone unpacking on a forum before (Doh!) so, welcome home to your home ;-)

I knew you were in living in South Korea :-) I didn't know you'd moved to home home! ;-) I thought you'd been away from the teaching job and just got back home - South Korea home, not home home.

Is that any clearer ;-D

Congratulations. My father-in-law graduated from Case school of chemical engineering and my neice also graduated from there -- she is now a med student or intern with Cleveland Clinic. I retired from Rockwell International (Automation) in the Cleveland suburb of Mayfield Heights. I live 30 miles east of Cleveland in Lake County. Welcome to the "neighborhood".

Case Western Reserve

Case Western Reserve University

That is the furthest west that Connecticut has Universities, Northern Ohio is really the Western Reserve of Connecticut. By having our reserves out there should something happen to people in CT we can recall the extra from the Reserve.

Sorry Kath, could not resist going to whare they got that name from. But we were good and let you become a state.
