Hi! On my Windows XP workstation, Einstein@Home seems to be working in Boinc (I have 8223 credits), but I don't see the fancy Einstein screen saver.
When the screen saver kicks in, the Boinc logo appears with the message "Boinc screensaver loading...please wait." Then the screen goes black, and nothing happens.
This problem occurs with both boinc_4.25 and boinc_4.27.
Any suggestions on what's gone wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.

The Boinc Client has some problems with ATI graphic cards.

In case you don't have an ATI graphics card check to see if you have the screen blanking in about the same time you have the screen saver set
on my laptop there is a power setting to have the screen blank after so many minutes
I was advised to use it instead of the screen-saver since it doesn't have 3D card (screen-saver uses most of CPU units when no 3D card)
If both are on you will get similar results as you describe
(I just checked, XP also has power options, default for screen is never but it may have been changed on your machine)

IMHO, "blank" is the best screensaver.
