I have two problems.
1) I run both Seti and Einstein both run 100 (50%)
when Seti is done with it's 60 min and Einstein starts. Einstein will run all the time and not stop after 60 min to give seti it's time.

2) Einstein will work all its WU but will not send them or download new ones. unless I press update to send, and reset project to download new WU.

Stan, you may have various issues at work here, but without a printout of the message page from your BOINC Manager I'm just guessing. Can you post the pertainent portion of your message page?

1) You may be in an overcommitted state, and the program will not release.
2) You may be in a condition where the system thinks you've spent too much time processing SETI work, and will not switch back until Einstein gets it's fair share.

Also awaiting a paste of the

Also awaiting a paste of the messages tab, but besides what OA said, I'd guess you run a cache that's too big (4 days or more), so when you switch to E@H, you go into Earliest Deadline Mode immediately, to get rid of the E@H units, before their deadline is over.

You may also not want to fiddle with Boinc for at least 14 days. Just let it run its course, even when it runs only Seti at that time. But then when you just leave it be, it'll work out its own problems and you'll see it go switching between E@H and S@H. It's just that the debt and long term debt may take a while to work themselves out.

Quit the guessing. Question: Is the CC4.42 you are running for Windows?
If it is, try updating to CC4.45, it has some fixes included for hanging work-units that didn't want to switch after their set time switch.

Stan -- You may have

Stan --

You may have perfectly valid reasons for your selections, but I have a couple of comments:

Quote:
On multiprocessors, use at most 2 processors

...is your machine a dual processor laptop, or is it hyperthreaded? If not, then this should be set to 1.

Quote:
Maximum download rate: no limit
Maximum upload rate: no limit

...if you are using a modem, shouldn't these values reflect the modem's speed?

The final comment is to agree fully with AGELESS' encouragement to update to ver 4.45

Thank you all for your help I will update to ver 4.45 at the end of week.
