It looks as though my Apple G5 has been using the standard PowerPC Gravitational Wave app for the past week instead of the AltiVec one, with a concomitant 10-hour increase in completion times:

Is this likely to be due to a problem at my end? The "einstein.phys.uwm.edu" folder contains executables for both apps.

This is probably an unwanted side effect of a project code change.

      I'll look into that tomorrow.

Ok, found & fixed it. Next tasks you get should be AltiVec. Feel free to abort the long running 'standard' ones.

Thanks, Bernd. The client should be requesting some more tasks in a few hours. I'll let you know what happens.

Nah. I wouldn't do that unless the tasks themselves were known to be faulty. :)

No. It's another "ordinary" PowerPC task. And guess what the wingman is. ;)
