Hi,
the scientific journal that we chose to publish the Einstein@Home search results in, has a peer review system in place, a sort of quality control system : the paper gets sent to a couple of independent scientists, the referees, who are experts in the field and have to judge whether the paper is interesting, correct and worthy of being published. As I said, the reviews from both referees were positive, which is a great satisfaction for us all on the project. We are now answering a few interesting questions that the referees had and expect final approval for publication from the journal shortly after.

They have shown an increase in sensitivity by a factor of 3, just by the new algorithm. I think, this is astonishing. They have found now evidence for GW, but 8 candidates which have to be tested for now separately,
I think, these are the main results in the short.

There weren't any confirmed GW sources, just some candidate signals which later failed further tests. But it has shown how 'quiet' any sources need to be for us to have missed them.
