My name is Bryden, I live in Alberta Canada and work in the oilfields. I am 26 years old and got into BOINC and Einstein@home as a way to put my computers idle time to better use. I am really looking forward to someday actually being named as a participant in IDing a pulsar.
A bit of an update here I am now 30 and on 19 Jun 2015 my computer, along with another user detected Pulsar J1350-6225. I was incredibly stoked when I found out! incredible! I'm going to continue donating my computers idle time and Hope for more in the future!.
I think anything that helps us understand the universe is beneficial to all of humanity. Science is the universal language and Einstein@home is helping the world to communicate in a more engaging manner
