1. Do your bit to science + utilize otherwise wasted CPU time
2. Brilliant way to leverage mass resources
3. Run campaign- Get goodies and prizes, offer discounts for top contibutors from universities, lecutres etc.... provide membership cards etc..... this will attract more students and such...
