Hello, my name is Danny Michael but my friends call me, "D-Mike", please do the same.
I live in Centennial, Colorado with my wife Kristina and daughter Tatiana. I'm a stay at home dad and I take care of Tatiana who has type I diabetes.
I have several hobbies, most of which involve computers and electronics. I'm an avid video game collector and player, and I have several video game world records and have been featured in the Guinness Book of World Records.
I also like to modify and repair electronics, write, and I enjoy doing weird things with computers. I became involved in distributed computing some time back as my PCs were primarily built with gaming in mind, but have a lot of time where they sit there. Distributed computing and especially E@H are a good match for that situation.
I run E@H for several reasons. The first is that I have the spare cycles to donate, the second is the I believe the project can really lead to further understanding of our universe, and last but not least, because I like to be in the company of others who are scientifically minded and share in the passion of discovery.
When we study the universe, we are studying ourselves, and contemplating our very existence. We are the products of supernova. Pulsars are our siblings.
