Profile: Henry Armstrong

Your personal background.
I am an amateur radio operator. I operate on 7217.5 KHZ daily from 0800 - 1130 PST daily. I also can be heard on 3840 KHZ in the evenings starting about 2030 PST. The station call sign is KI6JL. I am into weather. I have a local weather station that transmits data to the weather bug weather net. MY station is part of the backyard network. MY zip is 91351 and the station identifier is KI6JL - HAM RADIO. Weather pictures can be downloaded from the ftp site: ftp://63.194.18.232/WEATHER
I enjoy camping while using my ham radio to talk to my friends all over the world. Ocassionally I have taken my equipment in my aircraft while operating aeronautical mobile. My biggest problem is that my brain is too small. I need a bigger brain.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
MY computer is on all the time. I never turn it off. Since computers spend most of their operating life waiting fo their owners to tell them to do something, even if it is just to play games; I felt computers were goofing off. I felt mine was goofing off big time so I decided to give it something to work on while I was away from the operating position. I decided to get involved with the SETI, Einstein and Climate Prediction programs. These are certinally worthwhile problems for a computer to cogitate upon. I have no problem letting my computer work on such worthy causes. More people should join us and perhaps we might discover something really important to all of us.
Anyway, that my thoughts on the subject. My computer might render an opinion if asked but it is too busy thinking about more lofty persuits.
About the picture: I'm ugly so I made a slight substitute. Trust me, the bag is better.
