Your personal background.
I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I am an Electrical Engineering student, I run linux and like it alot. My computers are: AMD Athlon(tm) 1200 Mhz processor running Mandrake Linux 2.6.8.1-24mdk, Pentium III (Coppermine) 850 MHz running Mandrake Linux 2.6.8.1-24mdk, Pentium II (Deschutes) 233 MHz running Ubuntu Linux 2.6.8.1-4-386, Pentium 4 CPU 2.80GHz processor Microsoft Windows 2000 Pro.

The above hardware has changed with time. I lost a ps in the athlon tower so it hss currently down, as are my einstein averages. The laptops are now running other linux. The P2 Deschutes is now running slackware current ( I do not know what kernel is in there, I have not even looked at the thing in months), and this P3 coppermine laptop is now running SourceMage GNU/Linux. It is a source basedistro, I prefer it to gentoo (Sorcery being superior to Portage). It is so far my best Linux experience, an intelligently laid out system. Currently I am running the 2.6.13.4 kernel on it, fluxbox desktop, and I am enjoying the excellent OpenOffice-2.0 just released.

I am glad to still be running einstein, and I hope to see some interesting results come out of it in the future.

Now running the boinc_5.2.13 client and Linux kernel 2.6.15-rc6 on the laptops. Also at work I now have a p4 3.0GHz box running the 5.2.5 win32 client. Definitely starting to crank out the wus again. Merry Mithras!

Still running boinc_5.2.13 in SourceMage GNU/Linux kernel 2.6.16.5 on the laptops. Same p4 3.0GHz box at work, though it only runs boinc when I am logged in--not often--so the laptops carry the weight. Keep crunching!

Thanks, einstein@home! Wow, user of the day, go figure :)
Still enjoying SourceMage GNU/Linux with kernel 2.6.16.11 on both machines.

A lot less crunching lately, since I am only running one machine at the moment, SourceMage GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.19, on a 1200MHz AMD tower.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I have been wanting to run einstein@home since I started BOINCing. I hope it gives rise to interesting theory in the future.

My suggestions for Einstein@Home/BOINC: Simply put, a Linux screensaver as nice as the win32... ...and a control GUI could be nice.
