| I am 55. I live in Canberra, the capital city of Australia with my second wife, Yatphirun, known to her friends and family as Aho. I have two adult children (Anatoli and Larissa) from my first marriage and another daughter Eleanor born 30 October 2007. I am a graduate environmental scientist who hasn't worked in the field since 1978. I have worked in the computer industry since 1986 and as an independent Unix systems consultant from 1988 to 2003. I currently work as a senior security engineer for a managed gateway company here in Canberra, mostly with Solaris systems, BSD and Linux. I am a long time member of the Australian Unix Users Group, and the PC User's Group here in the ACT where I assist in administering their Internet gateway and have served on their committee. My other hobbies include vegie gardening, ancient history and my family history. | |

| I first read about gravitational waves about 40 years ago and have been intrigued by the idea ever since. I guess I can now claim some small corner of the research into Einstein's insight. | |
