Profile: Mad-Max

Your personal background.
Hi,

my name is Maik and i was born in 1979 in Bautzen, whats a small town in the east of germany. Now i live in Hockenheim, a nice small city in the south west, with a famous race track. I have a german diplom in mechanical engineering and i am working as a system engineer for car exhaust systems in the moment.

My hobbies are my car ('92 Mazda MX6 V6) and my pc. This one has been "upgraded" via a watercooling system and thats the reason for joining the "meisterkuehler.de" team.
Thanks the guys from the meisterkuehler.de forum (whats behind this team) i learned a lot about watercooling of computers.
Additional to my pc, i also own a website (www.da-real-mad-max.de).
Although it's in german, i guess the most information is understandable. (I am working to less on updates, but hey, take a look on it, you never know, when it will be new or updated... ;-) )

I joined at first Seti@home in my study time. Not really for finding extraterrestial live, but it was a nice program to stress your cpu and test your cooling system. But on the other hand, there was a hope to be the one who computed the work unit showing signs of life somewhere from outer space.
So the start in network computing was done. The next project was einstein@home. Currently i am not active in both projects.

Now i am computing simap and rosetta. Hopefully this will help the world.

So, if you want to know more or whatever else, just let me know.

Best regards
Maik
