Profile: Abraham Deeb

Your personal background.
What can I say about me. I am brilliant! Just like you. If we weren’t, we wouldn’t be here? Ok…ok,

I was born in Palestine in 1946 in a small town called ‘Magdal’ near Ashkelon. My family fled to Gaza during the 1948 war thinking we’d go back to our town and home in a matter of days, when the war ends! We are still waiting!

I went to school in Gaza until before the 1967 war (the 6 days war). After finishing school I went to university in Cairo. Because of the war and the occupation by Israel of the rest of the Palestinian territory, I couldn’t go back home. So I became like ET.

During my lifetime I had many questions to ask and look for answers. War, Peace, Justice, Life, Death, Love, People, the Human race, the Universe and God!

The Earth we live on, with all the wonders it contains. The microscopic entity of it in relation to the universe raised the big question. Is it possible we are the only and unique intelligent life form in this universe? What a wasted space would that be!!
