Your personal background.
I can say that i have dedicated more than half of my lifetime to computers - first contact was at age of 15 with minicomputers that filled whole rooms ( 32bit multiuser systems ) , now working as sysadmin for university computer engineering dept.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
in my opinion this project has highest importance among other distributed projects - distributed hacking (rc5-64/72/...) is nice to prove that raw power can achieve things, looking for alien signals is also fascinating, finding cures for exotic diseases and bioweapons might feel rewarding..

but this project can affect science on base level - thats important.
