1. Homage to Jan Hall, who, I understand, was an advisor on laser stabilization for the LIGO project.
2. Einstein@Home is an excellent way to overcome the lack of money to buy everything LIGO needs to do the project without it. It also keeps an informed and interested community ... well, more informed and interested.
