Your personal background.
Over the hill programmer/technician/Cad consultant.

Not exactly enjoying being disabled/retired. Some days I can run the world, some days I can't get out of bed. On those days my computer is lonely and bored so I figured I'd give it something to occupy it's feeble little brain.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I've spent a lifetime trying to comprehend the mind of God. I've studied the Universe in great detail and I actually understand a small fraction of everything I know. Except for gravity. I have no idea how, why, or even if, it actually exists. We call Newton's equations "Laws" of gravity. I think that's a little arrogant considering we don't have a clue as to how it actually works. I strongly suspect that the laws could be broken if we knew what we were doing. Finding evidence of a gravity wave will at least let us know we're on the right track.

At this point I haven't examined the physics behind the computing being done. I don't know enough to ask questions much less offer suggestions.
