Your personal background.
I'm from Germany and was interested in the mysteries of the universe since I was a little boy. My hometown is Sindelfingen, which is a couple of miles southwest of Stuttgart. I read lots of magazines about astrophysics and astronomy. When I heard about the Einstein@Home project it was no question for me to participate.
My job is to make original-sized designmodels of new Mercedes-Benz cars, especially the interieur. I don't design them, but I work close with the designers and try to translate their wishes into solid action ;-)
When I don't work I often play keyboards and percussions and sing some backing vocals in my cover-rock-band "Gilga-Mesh" (www.gilga-mesh.de).
I'm also a tenor in a young and very sympathetic choir called "ofChors" ("Chor" means choir in German).
I read lots of books (I love the discworld novels from Terry Pratchett) and sometimes I'm just enjoying a good beer with friends.

...may the groove be with you! :-D
