Profile: Ann

Your personal background.
I'm a happy amateur astronomer and have been interested in the sky and what is "Out There' for the last 45 years.
I live in Sydney, I'm 54, an artist, married, I'm a mum and grandmum and have passed on my love of astronomy to my grandson. I have my own 8 inch SCT which I keep at my daughters place at Katoomba under dark skies hwere the viewing is excellent and I have been around long enough to say my original computer was a Commodore 64 which was many, many moons ago. The one I have now runs XP Pro. When SETI@home first started I was one of it's first members and now I run Einstein@home and am a BOINC@Australia member.
I like to read (mostly SciFi and astronomy books), paint, cross stitch, and I do athletics(I throw heavy objects)and officiate.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I run Einstein cause I was tied of the time it took to run SETI's large WU's. Now I whizz through them. I may only have one puter but I'm happy with what I've got,and I'm contributing to my team.... BOINC@Australia.
