Long time ago worked at Hanford/Battelle; have toured the LIGO there.
Know something about laser interferometers, e.g. RLG and Fiber-Optic Gyroscopes.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
LIGO and Einstein@Home is an awesome project in so many respects.
I think that it borders on feasibility and requires some faith.
It would be neat to have a nearby black hole event of some kind that would give a big signal to improve the calibration and faith; but not too big.
