Your personal background.
I'm Australian, I started my working life as a programmer and now I'm a Business Analyst, I prefer working with people more than machines. I like this type of work a lot.

I drove Rally Cars for 12 years. I've been an avid Scuba Diver since 1977. My main diving interest is "Deep Wreck Penetration" (high risk without training and experience) although, I could still suit up, get in the bath and have a great time. I love my diving. I've been involved with First Aid since I was a kid. Most of my active First Aid has had little to do with either of the above. Mostly I work on people who are intent on doing themselves harm with cars.

Recently, I've become involved with Community Television (see picture above). It feels like I've been doing it for years. People in the Entertainment Industry are usually very easy to get along with. I work a camera (camera "D", they don't all have numbers;-) at the studio's of Southern TV - Executive Producer: Steven Bettles and Director: Dale Robinson (I'll get into trouble if I don't do the credits |-).

Oh and I've been interested in Astronomy as a hobby since the age of 10.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
1. Why do I run Einstein@Home?

I like my PC's running at 100%, I have an interest in "Distributed Computing" and an interest in Astronomy.

2. What are my views about the project?

I actually thought we knew pretty much all we were ever going to know about spinning neutron stars (I still like the title 'pulsars' ;-). But now we have an opportunity to learn so much more. I'm afraid I have to admit I'll have to go back and do some further research on Pulsars, to see what's been discovered since I last studied them back in the late '70's 8-( My bad.

3. Do I have any suggestions?

Perhaps the Einstein@Home Team could save me the above trouble and add a "Did you know" page to the web site. Yes, no, maybe?
[EDIT]I checked and there is a description![/EDIT]
