Profile: Pope Felix the Scurrilous (Kit Fenderson-Peters)

Your personal background.

I'm a computer science/physics double major at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, USA, with expected graduation in May of 2006. At the College, I'm working with Dr. Jon Hakkila cataloguing spectral lags on gamma-ray bursts detected with the Burst and Transient Source Experiment (BATSE) flown aboard the Compton Gamma-Ray Observatory from 1991 - 2000. I also work as a PHP and Perl programmer for Monolith Software Solutions, Inc. here in Charleston.

Personal stuff. Let's see. My musical taste is fairly broad; I like old punk rock (Ramones, Misfits, Dead Kennedys), industrial and synthpop, goth and goth rock, metal and progressive metal, classical, and a few other things I can't think of at the moment. I read lots of science fiction and fantasy - my favorite authors are Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Robert Forward, Steven Brust, Terry Pratchett, and Neil Gaiman.

I run Gentoo Linux on my laptop, but that doesn't make me a ricer! *g*
