Profile: SonOfJug

Your personal background.
I am a physicist, born in 1933, AB from Berkeley in 1957 and currently retired. I love skiing and hiking - and my two daughters and two grandsons. I did a couple years in graduate school in Tucson but had to withdraw, in order to help my wife in caring for our brain-damaged daughter (she continues to improve!)
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I've previously noted the existence of networked computing applied to massive problems but only now have I decided it's time to join that effort. The Einstein@home project particularly interests me as a physicist. The very concept of gravity waves and the thought of possibly participating in a successful detection thereof is terribly exciting.

I hope that when I've accumulated a bit more experience with these projects I'll be able to offer suggestions. At this time, I'm just learning...
