Profile: Thomas Bline

Your personal background.
BS Clinical Laboratory Scientist/BS Cytology, ASCP. I am currently on medical disability but finally close to 100% and trying to find a lab. There are no jobs in my community and I don't want to sell my home and move unless I find something that truly challenges, interests me and allows me some artistic/scientific freedom. I would love to switch from allied health/natural science to the physical sciences.
Thanks,
Thomas Bline, CLS, CT, ASCP
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I think this is the best idea and use of the internet I have seen since I have been using it. I would give anything to have a small salaried 'internship' actually doing more hands-on work. Since falling ill in 1992 but not giving in until 2000 I feel like my scientific experience and education has been a waste. The worse part is feeling as if you are wasting your intellect. My illness is genetically based and I am well enough to return to the lab now. But, once you have the need to take time off for illness it seems like you are marked for life.
I hope what small part I may play is better than zero contribution.
I am available to help anyway possible.
