| Your opinions about Einstein@Home |
I run einstein, as well as afew other programs on boinc, because I want to be part of advancing our knowledge of space, time, and energy. This planet is a temporary stop for mankind. One day, perhaps 100 million years from now, we will have to pick up and move. Our life giving sun will be close to spending it's energy and either we move or become extinct. Any knowledge of how the universe works will come in handy on our voyage to a new world and a new start. If we can learn how to tap into the vast ammounts of energy the universe has at our disposal. no telling what mankind can acheive.
Has anyone pondered a space station on an medium to large asteroid and let it speed through the solar system allowing us to bypass the need for large ammounts of fuel. Anyone with a stable trajectory and composition would be fine. |
