I joined to make whatever small contribution to science that I can. Hopefully it fairs better for me than SETI did several months ago. I'm behind the thesis of this project and look forward to seeing any results from our work that may pop-up.
Obviously, not knowing anything about the "science" behind the scanning being done, all I can contribute any thought to would be the forums themselves (and the wish that the graphics become more visually and informationally appealing in the future with a legend next to the graphics itself instead of buried in some webpage who knows where). I hope to see the forums get to a more user-friendly format in the future (similiar to every other php forum I can think of) where you can search thru posts (from the actual page you are on), be alerted when there are new posts to your threads, or any other thread you may want to follow, or be able to pull up your own posts (from the forum page) without having to go to the profile page (which is the only way I've found so far to pull up my prior posts to see if there were any answers... even then I have to go thru them one at a time since there is no alert system set up) etc. This sort of thing will make the site much more rewarding because we will be able to find answers. Right now, I find it to be like "searching for a needle in a hay stack" but I'm sure they "have bigger fish to fry" right now so I can wait. Hopefully, in the future, us Users will actually be able to see the fruits of our labor (lol) with some cool graphical representation; until then, I'm hanging with a cold one in the hot tub lol! |
