Profile: Theo

Your personal background.
My name is Theo van Werkhoven, age 44 (soon to be 45) and male. I'm a electronics technician / (parttime) Linux sysadmin. I'm from (and still live in) a small village in the mid-western part of Holland.
At this moment I work for a small company that makes TM/TC and RF IF Electrical Ground Support Equipment for (mostly) European satellite builders and contractors.
My hobbies are my Kawa ZZ-r600 bike and fiddling with Linux, OSS and computers in general.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
So far, I've let my PCs spend all their nice(1) time on SETI, however, I've never been really convinced that it would ever produce results.
So, when I saw the announcement for Einstein with its more 'down to Earth' goals, I liked it and volunteered to be among the testers.
Its good to help a project that really means something scientifically, and to (in a very small way) help humanity to better understand how all the jigsaw pieces fit together.
Maybe we're not quit the mices "Earth" computer, but at least with this project it's likely we'll get an answer before the planet blows up ;-)

Good luck all
Theo
