Profile: Jim Milks

Your personal background.
I am an environmental sciences Ph.D. student at Wright State University in Ohio. My professional interests are in successional dynamics, where I study the factors involved in tree invasion of old field herbaceous communities.

Outside of science, I've played trumpet for 21 years. My favorite composer? John Williams, even though I find some of his pieces to be devilishly hard to play. My other interests are canoeing/sailing, camping, baseball, and gardening.
