| Your opinions about Einstein@Home |
1. I run Einstein@home because I believe in space exploration. By exploration I mean the exploring of concepts and ideas as well as actually putting probes etc... in space. We have no idea the types of things which move about and exist in space. Gravitational waves will (as I understand it) give us yet another window.
2. I think that any project which allows diverse groups of people to come together with a common view is a worthwhile endeavor.
3. Lots of statistics. Show us some of your equations. Seti@home explained Fourier transformations....I never quite got them but I spent hours puzzling over them and had an understanding at least of how complex the math was. People participate in academic type projects like this to share the joy and depth of learning. Stating that Gravitational waves are a proof of relativity is simplistic and leaves us out of it. Show us what kind of data you have (even a hypothetical) and then show us what WE are doing to that data for you (by giving you our cycles). |
