| 23 year old from the United States. I'm originally from New Orleans, Louisiana but I move frequently due to work. I enjoy the outdoors, reading and self-learning; although I regrettably don't have the time to do such things, also due to work. I have a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering with an astronautics track and successfully passed the FE exam. Currently, I'm an engineer-in-training with hopes to attain both a masters degree and a PE license one day. | |

| Ever since I was a young child, I knew that I wanted to make some kind of measurable difference in the world one way or another. However, now that I am nearly 24 years old and quickly getting older, reality is setting in; and I realize that I am likely destined to a mediocre life of mowing my lawn in the suburbs like most of everyone else. To me, there is nothing worse than watching myself pass through my miniscule lifespan on this one spot of blue Earth, unnoticed in the universe much as a dust mite escapes our own auspices. As much as this thought horrifies me, and as much as we all might struggle against it, nearly all of us are linked to the same fate. Or are we? In my introspection, I have come to realize that the noblest cause that one can devote oneself to is the furthering of human knowledge. If one person could make even the smallest contribution in our understanding of the world and worlds around us, then it would be a life validated. Recently, I realized that this can be possible for almost anyone...intelligent or ignorant, billionaire or broke, attractive or abhorrent. Einstein@Home and other BOINC projects make it possible for an ordinary person to become extraordinary by lending a hand to those who make it possible for mankind to take another footstep into the future and write pages into books of that which is no longer unknown. | |
