I, for one, don't believe in 'string theory'.

Basically, a guy noticed that a couple of subatomic things could be modelled with the same differential equation that models a string and a group of people tried to fit that equation to the rest of physics. I think it's a logical fallacy to try to take a model which works theoretically on one pair of particles and develop a 'theory of everyting' from that. That would be the same fallacy that early mapmakers made when they said "this map is a good model of this town', lets apply the model to the rest of the world..."



Besides, physics is more fun when you don't know for sure what the 'theory of everything' is yet.



Still looking forward to my flying car though.
