Profile: MrLinux

Your personal background.
I am a 54 yr. old grandfather living in Detroit, MI. I am a self-employed artist working primarily in wood. I am an ordained minister with an active preaching schedule (Jehovah's Witness) and I garden for a hobby. I have also taught the use of computers in adult education type classes to what are euphemistically known as "High School non-completers" (3 years), worked as a railroad conductor (11 years) and as a tool & die maker (5 years ... just short of journeyman). I am presently teaching my wife how to use a wood lathe and myself how how use 3-d cad modeling programs.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
1. Why do you run Einstein@Home?

Because I can ;-)

2. What are your views about the project?

Not certain WHY it's important to track these distant bodies down, but it sure beats playing minesweeper. ;-)

3. Any suggestions?

Yeah ... include a "you are here" representation of the earth in the screensaver for those of use who don't know our right ascension from our left hole in the ground.
