Your personal background.
I am a retired college teacher and librarian. However, retirement doesn't mean that I'm through. I am actively engaged in research in several fields in which I am interested. I've always had trouble staying in one field so I hope around a bit. I like to take long walks on trails in the Florida wilderness and observe the flora and fauna, sometimes stopping for some time to watch some event unfold. At night, I like to go a few blocks from my home to a lake where I can see the sky and do some astronomy with my binoculars. I read a great deal and my reading if fairly widespresd. I hold 4 master's degrees and a Ph.D. in fields combining world religions, philosophy, anthropology, and information studies. I like to work with computers and in the past was responsible for maintaining several computer networks. I am almost 70 years old and still walk at least 3 miles a day and sometimes more. I am excited about the natural world we live in although I really do not care much for most of our cultural entertainment or for much that I have learned about business. I stay focused on learning. I really don't know much yet and I keep trying to really get into the roots of things.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I run Einstein@home because Albert is my major hero. Gravity and the cosmos are profoundly interesting phenomena and I hope my computing power can help move this knowledge forward a bit.
