Profile: Darren

Your personal background.
I'm a 41 year old Atlanta native. I've been a paramedic for 22 years, though some of my jobs have been a little "unconventional" for a paramedic. After a few too many years working on an ambulance in Atlanta, I started working primarily as a remote-duty medic in the oil industry. I worked for a short time in Saudi Arabia at a royal hospital in Riyadh, followed by a few years as the medic at a remote oil site in the Russian Arctic. More recently, I've worked for 4 years as the medic on an offshore oil production facility just off the coast of the West African country of Equatorial Guinea. Atlanta is still home, so I'm back to Atlanta after each month-long shift.

And that's about it. It's pretty pathetic that my whole life can be summed up in one paragraph :(

Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I don't really have any definitive views of E@H yet. I've run seti since it first started in 99, and started running boinc as a beta tester - so I guess it was only natural that I would wind up here also.
