Profile: Cylix

Your personal background.
I am a splendid man, I must say. I am currently living in Flagstaff, Arizona, which as I hope you would know is where Percival Lowell built a telescope. There's several others now, of course... Flagstaff is very fond of preserving its reputation as a good place to pull in light and as such is a Dark Sky City (I think the first). I am a total weirdo--I work at Circle K, am a physics-chem major, and am extremely homosexual. I love industrial music and the idea of proving Einstein correct (at least in a restricted fashion... gravity waves and quantum mechanics may actually mix, despite his objections).
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I hate to waste processor cycles... this is the first computer I have ever had that wasn't purchased secondhand off of someone richer than my family was. As such, to get anything done, I have learned to heavily multitask and load the processor as much as possible. I think that, although not applying directly to my chosen course of study, the idea of ripples in spacetime being spread through the universe is a beautiful and evocative image. Also, I like the look of the screensaver, unlike the many useless and ugly ones included with Windows XP Media.
