Your opinions about Einstein@Home
SETI@home was a great and successful experiment in distributed computing. They showed the way and deserve kudos for it. My own interest in distributed computing dates back to the very beginning of SETI@home. Einstein@home is, IMHO, a more scientifically sound and worthwhile project. There is little doubt that gravitational radiation exists, while there is considerable doubt concerning the existence of ETI. When gravitational radiation is detected, it will signal a major advance in astrophysics, as well as providing another test of General Relativity.
