| Hello Grav Wave community - this is Niko. I've just been reading the LIGO website and it seems like now (Jan 2008) is an exciting time for the LIGO collaboration as the S5 science run was completed last year and now analysis of the data is underway. What will we find? Who knows! Probably nothing this early on i guess - but fingers crossed for some BIG sources. I think the prospect of Gravitational Wave astronomy is exhilerating! And i'll be keeping a layperson's eye on progress. Looking forward to Advanced LIGO and LISA in the next few years! In 2005 i graduated from the University of Manchester in the UK with a Masters degree in Physics. I now work in Portsmouth, UK. Niko | |
