| Your personal background. |
Hi! I am 19 years old and from Germany (I hate Germany and maybe I will manage to move to Canada or the USA..)
My hobbies are reading, writing, listening to music (I like almost every music style..) doing some artwork in photoshop,... aahhm.. yes, I love my pc ;)
I am interested in physics (atrophysic, astronomy, cosmology tec.) archaeology (especially Egyptology and Mesoamerican cultures)..
I consider myself as a freak or nerd.. people often call me crazy, but I always take that as a compliment ;) I enjoy to be a freak.. for me it isn't negative.. you know, just because I have other interests than other people of my age doesn't mean that I'm insane or something.. I just think that there are more important things than talking about which clothes Brad Pitt wears or if you come to the party at saturday.. (I hate parties..)
The world has so many problems and we, the humankind, are one of the biggest of them.. but I think that we also can be a solution for these problems.. people just have to think more about the things that really matters today, like the climate change..
I believe that everyone can do something for science and that everyone can understand science.. you do not need a diploma in physics to understand it.. there are so many well written books today.. I wish that schools would do more to show their pupils that science is so rich of ideas and possibilities.. you know, most of my classmates think that science is boring or just to difficult, but that's not true!
My lil brother and me are fans of SciFi and we both share huge interest in physics and astronomy.. so one day we heard about SETI. We decided to use our computers not only for playing or doing homework.. we want to support science^^
"A clear night sky and a little instruction allows anyone to soar in mind and imagination to the farthest reaches of an enormous universe in which we are but a speck. And there is nothing more exhilarating and humbling than that."
