Your personal background.
I am English.

I like Marmite, Guinness and Veuve Clicquot (although not *all* in the same glass).
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
1) Why do I run Einstein@Home?

I signed up to run SETI@Home earlier this year.

Being a rather geeky old Hector, as well as doing the somewhat 'speculative' SETI work, I would also like to be contributing to the global efforts to look for stuff that we *already know* exists - i.e. a bit of 'hard science' to go with what some people may consider rather 'woo'.

And, dagnabbit, Space stuff is just 'cool', m'kay?

M'kay.

2) What are my views on the Project?

Well, obviously I'm 'for' it, otherwise I would not have signed up ;-)

Seriously though:
As we live in a world where Pure Research tends only to get funded *if* some Corporation sees a high probability of making vast Profits out of it (grr!), and;

As in this LifeĀ®, democratically-elected Governments tend to have to prioritise the funding of other policies/causes with more-persuasive lobbyists;

I am happy to make a contribution (however small) to a project that will increase our understanding of this Universe.

3) Any suggestions?

What do *I* know?

I'm just a dumb Limey with sophomoric political opinions, a fetish for emoticons, and a 'thing' about Space....
:D
