| Hi, my name is Tom, alias Detritus, born 1962. I live in Germany and i am working with computers since 1990. First as a hobby, since 1997 some greenly people of a public authority give me money for that ( don't tell...8-) ). My first contact with this kind of distributed or shared computing was with SETI in 2001. Today i try to participate in a few projects with BOINC as long as they seem to be interesting enough to help mankind a step forward. The problem seems to be that the most projects are interesting, but my available computer-power is very limited. So i began to install BOINC on every computer i got for service from friends, colleagues or family members(They know i did, don't worry 8-)). If YOU don't know what project to compute for next, or if you also think it's boring to boinc as a 'lone wulf', help us and become a member of a great team:  A lot of likeminded people in a really kindly community; become part of it! | |
