Profile: Pete Aldridge

Your personal background.
An avid biking enthusiast, I have a BS in Chemistry and Masters in Computer Science. Alabama is such a beautiful environment with mountains and a few miles south, the Gulf of Mexico; we have so many interesting and exciting explorations and expeditions available. Dauphin Island was home to native Indians who made
human sacrifices: charred rocks mark the area. Gardening and piano take up much of any idle time and music at the Church of Christ permits existential latitude in Salvation&.
UCB introduced us to Distributed Computing in SETI@Home and Einstein and
Climate are compelling. We'd like to better understand our home and how it fits into the grand schema :). I was unhappy to learn that BOINC has lost some crunchers and we want to see the participation return and expand.
Conmputations require much time in that algors may run exponentially and at best, n items mandate n passes; if n is large, time is large.
We're very enlightened that research embraces home computers in data extrapolation and wish the best in these endeavors - the more computers the more computer time.
We have excellent schools and
others have consulted other schools and note that UAH CS is superlative: ie, other schools don't compare. And I dare to assert that all UAH Depts are leading-edge.

If you're planning a higher education or have attended UAH or other schools and are considering further schooling, please drop by and talk
to someone. We are very excited about our school and invite you to come and learn with us. We have the most capable, dedicated
and committed faculty and staff ever assembled.
Extraordinary school spirit, clubs, orgs, frats and sororities, academic excellence, charactor and ethos in the most inspirational students
from most if not all countries make The University of Alabama In Huntsville the most engaging environment for interactive learning and development. Jay, Aditya, Komal and JuanFeng have been so very Awesome!
Best wishes,

Pete
