Your personal background.
I was born in Hollywood, California back before ZIP codes, touchtone phones, and color TVs. In July 2007, I became half-a-century old. Whew!

To keep myself out of trouble and to provide income for a growing list of expenses, I am an Emergency Manager. This means I write disaster plans, train personnel, and conduct emergency exercises so people are better prepared to handle the real thing.

Music is a big part of my life. I am the principal trombonist with the Los Angeles Pierce Symphonic Winds, a large wind ensemble that performs classical, popular, and march music.

So, here I am, doing my small part to further the quest for science.
